Veritas brings together professionals with expertise in engineering, geology, hydrogeology and other environmental science disciplines to address our clients’ environmental challenges.   Veritas’ team is led by the firm’s principals Alborz Wozniak and Paul Nuti.

Alborz Wozniak, P.E., BCEE

Alborz Wozniak is the CEO and co-founder of Veritas Environmental Consulting, Inc.  Alborz has over 30 years of environmental consulting experience specializing in engineering, hazardous waste site cleanup and closure, litigation support, and expert testimony.  Alborz has been involved with the investigation and cleanup of hundreds of contaminated sites across the United States.  His diverse expertise include providing expert testimony on environmental pollution matters, evaluation of environmental insurance claims, optimization of site closure strategies, assessment of industrial wastewater and storm water quality, and technical facilitation at multi-party contaminated sites.

Alborz provides private businesses and public entities with the following consulting services:

  • Optimization of environmental site closure strategy
  • Regulatory negotiation strategy development
  • Litigation support and expert testimony
  • CERCLA / NCP compliance review
  • Technical and financial analysis of environmental insurance claims
  • Technical facilitation among multiple-RPs

Alborz received his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.  He then continued his academic training at George Washington University in Washington DC where he received a MS in Environmental Engineering.  Alborz is a registered Civil Engineer in California and Washington.  Alborz is also a Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE) with the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientist (AAEES).  He actively participates in conferences related to environmental pollution and emerging issues across the US.

Paul Nuti, P.E.

Paul Nuti is a co-founder and principal engineer at Veritas Environmental Consulting, Inc.  Over the past 30 years, Paul has split his career between environmental consulting and the waste management industry.  As an environmental consultant, Paul designed and managed numerous environmental investigation and remediation projects at both complex Superfund sites and industrial contaminated properties.  Paul’s industry experience includes engineering, compliance, operations and management of landfills and related waste management business lines. At Veritas, Paul couples his unique experience and appreciation for business decisions with technical know-how to advise clients with environmental problems.  He supports clients who face complex pollution claims and/or waste management issues that require his technical, financial, and operational expertise.

Paul provides private businesses and public entities in the legal, solid waste and insurance communities with the following consulting services:

  • Solid waste industry consulting: engineering, compliance, operations, and management
  • Site investigation and remediation optimization
  • Technical and financial analysis of environmental insurance claims

Paul received his BS in Civil Engineering from Santa Clara University in California.  Paul is a Licensed Civil Engineer in the States of California and Washington.  Paul is also a LEED® Accredited Professional – Green Building Strategies.
